Integrated Control Panels and Illuminated Keyboards
SDI is a leading manufacturer of Integrated Control Panels, Switch Panels, Integrated and Illuminated Keyboards and Bezels designed to meet AS-7788 and the most demanding Military and Commercial QPL requirements. To reduce cost and when possible we can also provide simulator versions of these aircraft Panels. Our custom switch design offers superior tactile feedback and operation for all man-machine interface applications.
Integrated Control Panels (ICP) are the main interface to the other systems. The Integrated Control Panel is used among others, to enable weapons, selection of navigation settings and selection of radio communications. Together with the DED (Data Entry Display) the weapon system and activity are monitored, making the handling of this system easier.
Edge-lit panels generally are illuminated using either incandescent lamps or LED illumination. Edge-lighted technology creates bright and evenly lit display panels in frames as small as 1.5-inch thick. Correct positioning of the light sources distribute the light within the base material ensuring even legend illumination. Panels can be NVG compatible if required.
Aggregated Panels are used in cockpit simulators to combine individual panels in the same general location into one large panel to reduce cost of manufacturing and installing the individual panels, instruments, switches and gauges.
SDI offers a complete line of Bezels. MFD Bezels, Ring Bezels, Post light Bezels, NVIS compatible lighting, options include LED, Incandescent and EL all filtered to meet MIL SPECS.
We design all of our keyboard assemblies to work simply and easily to solve our customer's problems. We can design from your drawing, specification or can work with you to develop the entire unit. Our keyboards are designed to AS-778, Mil-L-27160, Mil-L85762, Mil-Std-3009 or to customer specifications.
